Travel FAQs
Do your tours include airfare?
No. And we do not reserve plane tickets.
Where should I fly?
For long-haul international travel (from North America, Asia, South America or Australia), we recommend landing in Florence or Rome and taking the train directly to Siena (travel time 3.5 -5 hours depending on the train). You can also fly to Milan or Venice, but a train to Siena will take 5-7 hours. If you're flying from within Europe, fly directly to Florence and then take the train or drive to Florence (1 to 1.5 hours).
When should I book my plane tickets?
At least 6 months in advance.
Can I fly directly to Siena?
Not unless you plan to arrive via private jet. Siena airport is very small and only accepts chartered planes. The closest airports to Siena are Florence, Pisa, Rome and Venice.
Do you book train/bus tickets?
Yes. Just let us know your arrival dates, arrival city and your preferred departure time (morning, afternoon or evening) and we'll take care of everything.
